Meet the Chef
My journey to The Cook’s Table all started with my lifelong love of food that inspired me to cook, especially when I was at University.
Influenced by my mother who always created delicious dishes in our home, my passion for cooking grew when I lived in Hong Kong. During holidays, when I could explore new tastes and dishes, it made me realise I wanted more.
I made a big decision in my career when my husband and I moved to the UK, with our daughter, to go from working for a bank to aspiring to be successful and innovative chef.
I decided to take a cookery course and I was grateful that there were enough open doors of opportunities to develop my skills.
I am still learning and will continue doing so, and I will bring all I discover to The Cook's Table Coffee Shop & Bistro on the beautiful High Street in Hythe, Kent.
Creating simple but tasty dishes from the finest sustainable local ingredients, that bring smiles and make people happy, is my goal - with the help of the whole team of course!
